I’m Dr. Katharine Mocciola (Moss-ee-o-la). You can call me Kate.

I’m a mother of two. An adventurer at heart. I love a hot tea, a great book, and my four animals by my side.

I am fiercely committed to helping others recognize their strengths, their capacity to endure unspeakable pain, and their ability to find their way through great challenge.

Education:

I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology & Human Development from Connecticut College and a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology.

Training:

My training includes experience at the Yale Child Study Center, the National Center for PTSD, hospitals within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Connecticut College Children’s Program, and college counseling centers including Dartmouth College and the College of William and Mary. Across settings, I’ve seen again and again that people are far more resilient than they realize.

Licensure:

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maine, with Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology from the PSYPACT Commission. PSYPACT is an agreement that allows psychologists to offer care across state lines.

I treat clients that reside in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY.
