Evidence-based therapy for insomnia, trauma, anxiety, and burnout
Sleep better. Feel more grounded. Reconnect with the life you want to live.
Katharine Mocciola, PsyDLicensed Clinical Psychologist | PSYPACT Provider | 20+ Years of Experience
Welcome
How might it feel to slow down—to pause long enough to notice what really feeds and depletes you? To take stock of your gifts. To sleep more restfully. To name the pain that seems to linger. What would it be like to feel supported in clearing tangled thoughts, living with more clarity, depth, and ease, and creating healthier patterns?
Whether you're struggling with insomnia, anxiety, trauma, or burnout, you don't have to face it alone.
Change is possible.
About Dr. Katharine Mocciola
For more than 20 years, I've helped adults develop practical skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My education and clinical training have taken me from South Africa and Australia to the National Center for PTSD, college counseling centers, and VA healthcare systems. These experiences have shaped the way I work with clients today - helping people sleep better, feel more grounded, and reconnect with what matters most, using a collaborative, evidence-based approach that is tailored to each client’s goals and life experiences.
Online Therapy in Maine & PSYPACT States
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Maine and authorized to provide telepsychology for clients in more than 40 PSYPACT participating states. In many cases, this allows us to continue working together if you travel, relocate, or temporarily live in another participating state. For more information and the most up-to-date list of participating PSYPACT states, visit http://psypact.gov.
Insomnia & Sleep Therapy (CBT-I)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the gold-standard treatment for insomnia.
CBT-I can help you:
Fall asleep more easily
Stay asleep longer
Quiet racing thoughts at bedtime
Wake feeling more rested
Improve daytime energy and functioning
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
Difficult life experiences can continue to affect how you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others long after they have ended.
I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), one of the most well-supported treatments for PTSD.
Treatment may help you:
Feel less controlled by painful memories
Reduce emotional distress
Strengthen relationships
Regain a greater sense of safety and confidence
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety often shows up as chronic worry, overthinking, tension, perfectionism, or difficulty slowing down. These patterns are understandable responses to stress - not personal flaws.
Together, we’ll work to:
Reduce anxiety’s hold on your life
Build practical coping skills
Navigate challenges with greater confidence
Create more space for calm, flexibility, and joy
Burnout
When you’ve spent so much time caring for others or meeting constant demands, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.
Therapy can help you:
Restore energy
Set healthier boundaries
Reduce overwhelm
Reconnect with your values and priorities
Support is also available for parents/caregivers of children with complex medical, developmental, or behavioral needs.
